Morocco player mimicked Jaylen Waddle’s TD celebration at World Cup

Drama at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar continued on Tuesday with Morocco beating Spain in a penalty kick shootout to advance the quarterfinals for the first time in their history.

After 120 minutes of scoreless action, the two teams went to the shootout and Spain, which had put in a ton of practice on PKs heading into this World Cup, failed on all three of its attempts.

Morocco scored three times and advanced when Achraf Hakimi scored on a beauty of a kick right down the middle (known as a Panenka) and then he celebrated by doing Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle’s TD celebration.

France star Kylian Mbappé, who is also Hakimi’s teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, tweeted his appreciation of the celebration.
